New Orleans’ own OperaCréole will be performing at festivals throughout the city this spring. This premier operatic ensemble, helmed by LA Creole member (and 2016 conference co-chair) Givonna Joseph, is dedicated to sharing the contributions of our people to classical and opera by researching and performing lost or rarely performed music.
You can experience OperaCréole Saturday, April 2 at the Old U.S. Mint during the first ever New Orleans Ragtime Festival, Saturday, April 9 at St Mary’s Church for French Quarter Festival, and performing at the Kids’ Tent at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Saturday, April 30.
