Xavier University of Louisiana in collaboration with the Louisiana Creole Research Association and the French Consulate of New Orleans presents:
“An Evening with Jacques Martial”
Jacques Martial is a French actor of film, television and theater, as well as director. He currently serves as the president of Memorial Act Museum, the largest museum in the world devoted to expressions of memory of the slave trade and slavery. The museum is located in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.
During this International Education Event, Mr. Martial will discuss “The Memorial Act Slavery & the Slave Trade Museum” in Guadaloupe and perform from the works of Aimé Césaire.
The event will be held on the campus of Xavier University of Louisiana on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in the Administration
