A Creole Christmas, December 9 and 10

opera-creoleIt’s that wonderful time of year again!

Please join OperaCréole on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 (both at 8pm) as we present the magic and majesty of the holiday season in “A Creole Christmas,” a tribute to the Advent and Christmas traditions of Creoles of color from years past.

Featuring the music of Mozart, Gounod, Schubert, Puccini and African-American composers Emile Desamours, William Grant Still and Mitchell Southall, the concert is crowned with a musical “living rosary” that gives the devotional prayer a moving interpretation.

The concert is $25 at the door, $15 for seniors and students. Music lovers of all ages are welcome!

It will take place at the Marigny Opera House, 725 St. Ferdinand St. in New Orleans.

Bon Krismis!
