New Orleans’ own Amistad Research Center, the nation’s largest independent archive specializing in the histories of people of color, will be selling books, posters and magazines relating to a number of subjects ranging from the Civil Rights Movement to Slavery and Abolition, Religion, Art, Poetry and Drama, Reference, Music, Africa, Biographies and more. The sale will run Friday, November 13 from 1-6pm and Saturday, November 14 from 9am-1pm.
Hardcovers will be $3, paperbacks just a dollar, and magazines will be fifty cents. Don’t miss this opportunity to pick up publications on a variety of interesting subjects and support the Amistad Center’s work to collect and preserve African-American and other US ethnic groups’ history.
